MacIntosh Receives Coveted Achievement Award
Brian MacIntosh is the 2010 recipient of the Blasch Precision Ceramics Achievement Award. The annual award is given to the employee who has best exemplified achievement of both personal and company wide goals through their efforts. MacIntosh has greatly contributed to improvements in plant efficiencies leading to improved profitability. In addition he has played a leadership role in Blasch’s new 18,500 square feet plant expansion to better serve customers’ needs. MacIntosh is a Plant and Process Engineer with 25 years of progressive performance and diverse industry experience throughout the Capital District. His proven strengths include staff leadership/training, development and implementation of conceptual layouts, component identification/selection and investigation of new materials as well as design, fabrication and assembly of mechanical and electronic components, systems installation, and technical support of systems and equipment. Skilled in TQM MacIntosh is also a certified ISO 9000 Internal Auditor.
He is responsible for plant and process upgrades and improvements including facility expansion, maintenance and increasing production efficiencies among other things.

MacIntosh had previously worked for Blasch as a production supervisor from 1991 through 1996, and currently lives in the Woodlawn section of Schenectady, NY. He is a graduate of HVCC with an Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology and is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
