Albany, NY – May 18, 2020, Blasch Precision Ceramics, an expanding Albany-based manufacturing company specialized in ceramic technology, is pleased to announce its latest full-time addition to the team: Katherine Uliva, Design Engineer.
In this role, Katie will responsible for determining and documenting engineering information required for quotes, managing tooling supplier relationships, and growing the supplier base. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to mold engineering and procurement, growing in-house capabilities and resources, proposing and justifying equipment and/ or personnel upgrades as applicable.

Katie just completed her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and comes to Blasch with experience as a CAD teaching assistant, as well as having presided over the RPI Women’s Club Golf Team. She opted to do a co-op program and was exposed to design and testing in a robotics application and process engineering in a manufacturing environment with Lean Six Sigma experience.
